A St. Patrick's Day Event You Won't Want To Miss!

On March 16th, you won't want to miss Ten Strings And A Goat Skin as they take over the Sandusky State Theatre for an incredible St. Patrick's Day performance. These three young people from Canada are bringing their unique sound to the US for a one-night show.

The clever name of the band is based on their instruments, the strings being guitar and violin and the goat skin the bodhràn, also known as the "heartbeat of Irish music", a framedrum which is traditionally made with a wooden body and a goat-skin head, and is played with a double-headed stick called a cipín. The group is made up of three men who are all under the age of 22, which makes their achievements (multiple nominees for the 2013 Canadian Folk Music Awards, ECMA’s and Music PEI Awards) all the more remarkable. The fellows are called Jesse Périard, Rowen Gallant  and Caleb Gallant (don't they sound like the names of fairy-tale heroes?).

Their music is extraordinary, comprised of Celtic, Acadian, French and original compositions, and will be sure to leave you wanting more. Here is a sample:

The show will take place on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at the Sandusky State Theatre, 107 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870. Tickets for the show only are $23 each, but you can also take advantage of  a dinner of either Guinness Stew with Brown Bread or Corned Beef & Cabbage (Does not include alcohol & tax) from J Bistro along with the show for only $43 per ticket.

Stay the night at our comfortable Angel Welcome Bed and Breakfast after the show and wake up to a lovely home-made repast served on fine china in our candle-lit dining room. It will make for a St. Patrick's Day that you won't soon forget!
