Huron River Fest – July 10 – 12, 2015

The annual Huron River Fest takes place Friday, July 10 through Sunday, July 12. Since Angel Welcome Bed and Breakfast is a quick 15 minutes by car from Huron, it’s a great thing to do while you’re in Northern Ohio. You could spend hours all weekend at the fest and still not see everything!

The fest starts on Friday, June 10th at 5pm, as the Midway opens. The Opening Ceremonies take place at 5:30pm, followed by the Huron River Fest Queen’s Competition pageant. from 7:30 to 10pm, enjoy the Classic and Modern Rock stylings of Slowback Gin, live on stage at the Huron Boat Basin stage. Stay a bit later to ooh and ahh at the Fireworks over the River, which start at 10:15pm.

Bright and early at 8am on Saturday the 11th take part in the Huron River Fest 5k Race, or just cheer on the participants. The rest of the day is a blur of activities including the Queen’s Brunch, and at 9am, car buffs will love the 5th annual Car Show, held at the parking lot of The First Presbyterian Church of Huron at 225 Williams Street. At 11, the Midway opens again, along with the Lion’s Club parade, which will roll along the streets of Huron. Bands TAR, Eddie Brunswick & the Hotrod Lincolns, and Velvet Shake take the Huron Boat Basin stage from 1pm to 10:30pm, consecutively.

Sunday, July 12th is Family Fun Day, starting with the Pets on the Pier Parade at 10am. At 11am, the Midway opens for the last time. The Huron Boat Basin stage hosts multiple acts, including the Huron High School Cheerleaders, The Cloggers andErika Bickhart, Cathy Black & Meg Mischler. The fest concludes with the St. Pete’s Duck Race at 5:30.
